Down In The Hollow

By Buzz Gambill

Down In The Hollow

Have you ever been down in a hollow,

Where the grass is Wild and green?

Where you can actually hear the silence

And only critters and creatures are seen?

It's a place of peace and solitude,

Where the trees are strong and tall,

You may hear the sound of a bubbling brook

Or you might hear nothing at all.

The grass is twisted by a playful breeze

And the leaves begin dancing on the branches of trees.

In the distance, a soft, trilling song is heard

A mate is calling to his lady bird.

You lie in the grass and look to the sky

Creating art in the clouds rolling by.

This is how it should be, you're certain it's true.

And you know that God must be pleased with it too.
