Hands of the Desert needs
volunteers
Desert Hot Springs is rather famous in the Coachella
Valley, for our many volunteers. Almost any worthy cause has been
able to count on any number of willing volunteers to turn out and
lend a hand when needed. It has been that way for years. One of the
oldest organizations in Desert Hot Springs is the Hands of the
Desert; president is Cindy Laband. It has been around for many
years, with many volunteers, and has accomplished many worthwhile
things. Hands of the Desert has donated to causes to help children
get to college, it has donated food to the needy. When called upon,
Hands of the Desert has never balked, but has been right there where
and when it was needed.
Now, the grand old organization needs help, itself.
It needs volunteers to help out in the Hands of the Desert Thrift
Store at 69181 Pierson Blvd. Volunteers must be at least 55 years of
age or older. Please give this great group a helping hand, so that
they can contiunue to offer a helping hand of their own.
